Stop DEF Crystallisation & Protect Your BS-VI SCR System
Professional DEF additive that dissolves urea crystals and keeps your BS-VI AdBlue system flowing reliably — through Rajasthan summers and Delhi winters alike.
- Dissolves existing urea crystals in AdBlue tanks, pumps, and dosing injectors — restoring normal DEF flow fast.
- Prevents limp mode and costly SCR fault codes triggered by crystallisation blockages.
- Improves DEF atomisation quality across extreme Indian conditions — from 45°C highway heat to sub-3°C North India winters.
- Ash-free, residue-free formula — fully safe for all ISO 22241-compliant AdBlue and DEF systems.
- One 235 ml bottle treats the full SCR circuit: tank, pump, injector, lines, mixer, and catalyst simultaneously.
Use When You Notice…
- SCR or DEF warning light on the dashboard — crystallisation blocks DEF flow and triggers fault codes; this cleaner dissolves those deposits before limp mode sets in.
- Vehicle entering limp mode on the highway — a classic sign of DEF system restriction caused by urea crystal build-up in the pump or injector.
- White crusty residue around the blue DEF filler cap — visible crystallisation outside means heavier deposits are forming inside the lines and tank.
- Irregular or unusually high DEF consumption — a partially blocked injector forces incorrect dosing; treatment restores proper metering.
- DEF pump sounding strained or noisy — deposit restriction increases pump load; clearing crystals reduces wear and restores quiet operation.
Key Benefits
- Crystal Dissolution: Breaks down biuret and cyanuric acid deposits in tanks, pumps, and dosing injectors for restored DEF flow.
- Limp Mode Protection: Clears the root cause of SCR fault codes before they strand you on a national highway.
- Extreme-Temperature Performance: Stabilises DEF concentration through Indian heat waves and North India winter cold starts below 3°C.
- Ash-Free Formula: Introduces zero metallic ash or residue — your SCR catalyst and DPF remain fully protected.
- Cost Saving: SCR injector or pump replacement can cost ₹25,000–₹1,50,000; regular DEF treatment is far cheaper insurance.
The Technology Inside
Rislone DEF Treatment contains a concentrated blend of urea-compatible surface-active agents that penetrate and dissolve biuret and cyanuric acid crystal structures — the two primary by-products of AdBlue decomposition in hot or stagnant conditions. Unlike generic cleaners, the formula is specifically engineered to restore correct DEF concentration and flow viscosity without altering the 32.5% urea-to-water ratio that SCR catalysts depend on. It conditions the entire liquid circuit from tank to dosing injector, reducing the surface tension that allows crystals to re-form on metal and plastic components. Because it is completely ash-free and phosphorus-free, it poses no risk of poisoning the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst or blocking the diesel particulate filter (DPF) — both of which are standard on every BS-VI diesel vehicle sold in India today.
Dosage & Coverage
Add directly to the DEF/AdBlue tank only — never to the diesel fuel tank or engine oil. Dose at approximately 30 ml per 38 litres of DEF capacity as indicated on the bottle's dosage chart; one 235 ml bottle is sufficient for most commercial vehicle tanks up to 75 litres. Double the dose when heavy crystallisation is already present, and repeat with every second or third DEF top-up as a preventive measure — or every fill if operating in extreme heat or cold.
Compatibility
Safe to use with
- All BS-VI (Euro 6) diesel vehicles equipped with SCR after-treatment systems
- ISO 22241-compliant AdBlue and DEF fluids sold across India
- Trucks, buses, SUVs, and commercial vehicles — including Tata Prima, Ashok Leyland heavy vehicles, Mahindra TUV300+, Force Motors, and similar platforms
- Vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF-safe formula)
Not suitable for
- Do not add to diesel fuel or engine oil — DEF/AdBlue tank only
- Cannot repair physical SCR catalyst damage, failed NOx sensors, or faulty DEF quality sensors
- Not a substitute for draining and refilling contaminated or degraded AdBlue
Why It Matters in India
Indian BS-VI diesel vehicles face crystallisation stress that European vehicles rarely encounter — DEF tanks bake at 45°C+ during summer highway runs on the Delhi–Mumbai or NH-44 corridors, then sit overnight in near-freezing North India winters in cities like Amritsar and Chandigarh. Dusty conditions accelerate filler-cap crystal formation, and inconsistent AdBlue quality from roadside refill points can upset DEF concentration further. For fleet operators running Tata or Ashok Leyland trucks under NGT emission scrutiny, a blocked SCR system means failed PUC checks and potential fines — making a DEF crystallisation additive a practical, low-cost compliance tool.
How To Use
- Locate the blue-capped DEF/AdBlue filler — separate from the diesel fuel filler.
- Consult the dosage chart on the bottle and measure the correct amount for your tank size.
- Pour directly into the AdBlue filler, then top up with fresh AdBlue as needed.
- Use a double dose if visible crystallisation or a DEF warning light is already present.
Safety Note: Never add this product to the diesel fuel tank or engine oil. Keep out of reach of children. In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can this clear existing SCR fault codes? If the fault code is caused by DEF crystallisation blocking flow or contaminating concentration readings, dissolving the crystals can allow the system to self-clear the code after a successful drive cycle. Fault codes caused by physical catalyst damage, failed NOx sensors, or DEF quality sensors require mechanical diagnosis and repair.
How often should I use Rislone DEF Treatment? As a preventive measure, add it every second or third DEF top-up. If your vehicle operates in extreme heat (Rajasthan, Gujarat summers) or sub-3°C North India winters, dose every fill to prevent crystal formation before it starts.
Is it safe for Tata, Ashok Leyland, and Mahindra BS-VI vehicles?Yes — the ash-free, ISO 22241-compatible formula is safe for all BS-VI SCR systems, including those fitted to Tata Prima trucks, Ashok Leyland heavy vehicles, and Mahindra diesel SUVs. It will not void your vehicle's after-treatment warranty when used as directed.
Will it help my vehicle pass a PUC emission test?A properly functioning SCR system is essential for controlling NOx emissions, which affect overall exhaust quality. By restoring correct DEF dosing, this treatment helps your SCR system operate at designed efficiency — supporting cleaner exhaust output and reducing the risk of emission test failure caused by a malfunctioning after-treatment system.
